Valerie Hicks-Powe is an attorney, author and motivational teacher. Borrowing from her legal expertise, she will share some insights regarding sexual harassment on the job. Amy Hall is the Executive Director of Safe Homes, a place where abused spouses/children can find refuge. She’ll discuss abuse and ways to escape it.

Elise Shore is an attorney who has served with the U.S. Justice Department and now serves with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund. She will discuss voter protections. JyNelle Handy is an insurance representative. She’ll help us gain a better understanding of ways in which to select the policy that is right for us.

Mark Protock is an attorney who leads the Southern Poverty Law Center’s intelligence department.  The Center has distinguished itself as a premiere organization that monitors hate crimes and groups. Mr. Protock will talk about his department’s vigil as the intelligence arm of the Center. Carl will discuss the open topic of the day.
