Stacy Horn has written several nonfiction books and has been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. She is founder of the social network Echo. I’ll speak with her about the beauty and the horrors of 19th century oversight of New York’s outcasts as well as similarities prevalent in today’s prison system. Her recent book is Damnation Island: Poor, Sick, Mad & Criminal in 19th-Century New York.
