On Headlines and Highlights, Carl will cover various news topics from local to international. Not much commentary, though, since the objective will be to highlight various topics.

Florence Brown is an author who has a gift for using words to paint vivid pictures. In her book, The Breezy Meadow, A Butterfly’s Story, Florence beautifully conveys life as a “Negro” girl growing up in rural Georgia in the ’60’s. She shares some of the challenges and triumphs of her family over several generations while offering pearls of wisdom throughout this special book.
